LETHAM GALLERY IS AN HISTORIC BRICK BUILDING IN THE HEART OF PONSONBY. The gallery displays contemporary New Zealand fine art from a diverse range of artists in varying stages of their career. The Letham offers an eclectic range of art work with a philosophy that the art should be displayed in a non threatening environment and be enjoyed by all. The Letham has a homely relaxed atmosphere where the public can view art at their leisure while at the same time extending their experiences. Exhibitions are held every 4 weeks in the main gallery and run for two weeks. Between exhibitions we display an everchanging and sometimes challenging range of work from our stable of artists. The garden room is a small sunlit room in the gallery available for artists to rent for 10 day blocks for those who would like to introduce their work, maybe for the first time to a wider audience without the stress of staging a full scale exhibition. Please contact the gallery for more information regarding this space. Extending the garden room the Letham provides a private court yard for contemporary sculpture. This exterior space is open during the summer months.
