1203 Waiting for some paint to dry on a large commission, I decided to start messing with another large resin piece. This time it’s Silene a Japanese anime character. Another huge learning experience with lots of skin and this time feathers. I built the base using HirstArts molds and used a clear resin, slighly tinted to make the “glass” blocks in the base. I hope you like her. BTW, expect to see a cool pack of Confrontation Devourers in my next update which should occur before the holidays. 1017 Added my first large scale resin piece, Criora Qvaesitor Sahjagis an incredibly cool sculpt from JJ Models in Italy. I’ve never painted anything this large before she’s 10” tall and learned a great deal about subtle shading to make things look right. I sculpted the base from epoxy putty and used Woodland Scenics Water Effects for the waterfall. I also spent a lot of time working on my freehand and am pretty pleased with how the banner worked out.
